There are always hundreds of events going on in the Charlotte Metro, so I have taken the time to curate a list of events that cover a wide array of activities. There should be something for everyone – young & old, and even some for your favorite furry friends! Enjoy Charlotte, and this weekend of beautiful weather!

Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend – April 24 @ 6pm – April 27 @ 11pm
- Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend brings together leading winemakers and chefs from around the world.
Official Merica’s Burger Launch Party – April 26 @ 11:30am-3pm
- Hickory Tavern Ballantyne is partnering with The Independence Fund to help deliver veterans their independence through the purchase of all-terrain track wheelchairs.
Avocado Food Truck Friday – April 26 @ 5-10pm
- Sycamore Brewing is having live music, the city’s best local food trucks each preparing 3 unique avocado dishes, and of course fresh Sycamore Brewing beer & Wild Blossom Cider.
BOOM Plaza Midwood Charlotte – April 26 – 28
- The BOOM festival is Charlotte’s annual showcase of contemporary and experimental art created on the fringes of popular culture.
Charlotte Girl Tribe Pop Up – April 27 @ 10am-5pm & April 28 @ 12-5pm
- Shop from over 140+ amazingly creative women-led businesses including boutiques, jewelry designers, paper goods, gifts, beauty + all your favorite brands at an energetic shopping experience complete with upbeat music, cocktails and brews, tons of fun photo ops and discounts!
National Prime Rib Day – April 27 @ 8am-2pm

Annual Plant Sale – April 27 @ 9am-5pm & April 28 @ 9am-1pm
- Daniel Stowe Botantical Garden – Discover plants for your own home garden! The sale will feature nearly 1000 native plants. The Garden’s Horticulture staff will be available to answer questions and help you make the best selections.
2019 Vintage Charlotte Spring Market – April 27 @ 10am-5pm

Cousins Maine Lobster Charlotte 1 Year Anniversary Party – April 27 @ 12-10pm
- Join us in celebrating 1 YEAR of Cousins Maine Lobster in Charlotte! We’ll have Live Music all day by The Hwy and Falconheart! Beer specials, special anniversary surprises and MORE!
4th Annual International Sandwich Festival – April 27 @ 12-6pm
- Popular food trucks and restaurants will be on hand serving up sandwiches and other international fare including German, Indian, Mexican, Korean, Venezuelan, Vietnamese and American. Musical entertainment ranges from vocal and instrumental acts to dance lessons and performances including German Polka, Reggae, Salsa, Gospel and more.
The Queen’s Cup – April 27
- With everything from amazing tailgates, fancy hats and bow ties to powerful thoroughbreds galloping over 4’6″ obstacles. The Queen’s Cup is about sport, it’s about fashion, it’s about a tailgate extravaganza! It’s about friends and family in an annual gathering and it’s about fundraising. The Queen’s Cup has everything for everybody.
Pet Palooza Walk for the Animals – April 27 @ 12-4pm

Hoppin’ for Life Party – April 27 @ 2-7pm
- Hoppin’ is Charlotte’s first and hottest “pour your own” beer and wine taproom’s and will be hosting a celebration for LIFE. With a live DJ, food, and prizes we want to raise awareness about organ, eye, and tissue donation in the Queen City during National Donate Life Month. The 6th Annual Ales for Autism – April 27 @ 5-9pm
- Family-friendly event featuring food trucks, live music, on-site raffles and sudsy good fun. All proceeds will help Autism Charlotte continue to fund its stellar learning and development opportunities for children with autism and their families.
UNC Charlotte Science & Technology Expo – April 28 @ 12-4pm
- More than 100 cool STEM activities, presented by our scientists and technologists and community partners, with something for absolutely everyone.
2019 Spring Festival – April 28 @ 1-4pm
- Join us at Symphony Park at SouthPark Mall for some free spring fun! ! Activities include carnival games, prizes, arts/crafts, face painting, characters, DJ and more! All activities are FREE and open to the public. Pre-register to be entered to win door prizes.
QC Cookout at Sweet Lew’s BBQ – April 28 @ 6:30-9:30pm
- Enjoy a leisurely supper of smoked oysters and chicken, Memphis-style ribs, family-style sides, along with bread by Erika Council of Bomb Biscuits and pie by Keia Mastrianni of Milk Glass Pie. We’ll also have live music from a local jazz band, local craft beer, and cocktails to enjoy while you mingle on the patio.

Charlotte Jazz Festival – April 29 – May 4
- Jazz concerts will transform Uptown Charlotte during the Charlotte SHOUT Festival, complete with musical performances in Romare Bearden Park, lunch hour jazz and late night jams.
Main Street Fort Mill Strawberry Jam – May 1 @ 6-9pm
- This kickoff to the South Carolina Strawberry Festival – Fort Mill, SC will be held on our beloved town center, Main Street. Main Street will be alive with shopping, music, food and beverages (some 21+) and pure Fort Mill fun!
